The Solitary Islands' Best Game Fish

There are a great many game and sports fish we target off the northern coast of NSW. Frankly, we generally spend a lot more time chasing these fish than we do catching them, but even a quiet day on the continental shelf looking for them is better than most days on the beach doing other stuff!

While most of our big game fish are relatively easy to identify at a glance, in a rare fishery like this where all three varieties of marlin are found, there's a lot to be said for the angler who can quickly identify the three different marlin species - both from a distance and up close.
