SEABREEZE Coastal Wind, Swell, and Rain Predictions

Picture
Seabreeze has a great service for long range (one week ahead) coastal conditions. They offer a free and user-friendly set of graphics that are inteded for use primarily by windsurfers and surfers, but the service is extremely good for boaters and game fishermen. When you open their pages, they display a multi- faceted graphic forecast for the next seven days that predicts wind strength and direction, swell height and direction, daily temperature range, rainfall and thunderstorm predictions all on one chart. Below this chart, they also have other charts showing tides (time and size) for your area for the next 7 days, and also an hourly actual wind readout for the current day. The Seabreeze website is an excellent planning tool for gamefishermen, and while the 7-day forecast can change dramatically, the forecasts for conditions up to 48 hours ahead are usually fairly reliable. The Seabreeze site also has links to the BOM coastal forecasts and rain radar. Click on the Seabreeze sample graphic to be linked directly to the Coffs 7-day forecast page.
